PAPER DOLLS

Paper dolls are all we are
If someone rips us
Then we scar
Look real close
You might see
The heart that's torn
Belongs to me!!!

THIS IS HARD TO SAY

This is hard to say
This is weird to explain
The way you make me feel
The way you make me happy just because you are here!
The way how I miss you so much
Just because I haven't seen you,
I don't feel you close to me anymore,
I can't close my eyes because I can see you when I do!
This is hard to explain
How I feel inside me
Since I met you I couldn't forget you.
I don't need to see you ,but I can feel your thoughts following me.
I can't promise you that I will forget you
I can't promise you that I will always be strong.
But I can promise you that I just will always love you!

TWINS

Mirror reflections.
in looks,
in taste,
and in desires.

Beings interwined,
in thoughts,
in words,
and in expression.

Yet separate,
in dreams,
in needs,
and who we are.

Forever one,
in spirit,
in desire,
and in life.

MY LIFE AND THE SONG

There are many things that can affect a person’s life.
It could be a movie, a child, or a wife,
but a song was what affected my life.

The night I first heard it, I remember quite clear.
It filled me with hope, & yes even cheer.
It changed my whole being which was so drear.

Before I heard it, I was depressed & lonely.
I spoke with no one, but myself only--
No wonder I was so lonely.

Then my life changed when I heard the song.
My life shown before me--it didn’t take long.
It was dismal, and boring--I knew I had lived my life wong.

Now I am always cheerful & happy.
I am no longer boring and sappy
Now I am just slap-happy.

I thank the ones who wrote that song.
Ike, Tay, and Zac changed my life with their catchy song.
Now thanks to “MMMBop” I no longer live my life wrong.

LONE GUITAR

The gentle strumming of a lone guitar
Takes me beyond so far
The chords to the song fill my ears
My eyes fill with happy tears
Watching the man serenade
The moon
The stars
And the grass blade
The sensuous night air
Smell the sweet flare
Hear him sing with no words spoken
Hear the guitar with no strings broken
See the petals fall from limb
Softly covering him
And when time stops
And his voice fills my heart
Beating drum with fear depart
I hear the gentle strumming of a lone guitar,...

THE BRIDGE TO THE HEART OF THE MUSIC

Here I stand at the end of this long outstretched bridge
I look out in the distance and see you at the other side waiting there
The sound of your music begins and causes me to take a small step forward
And I begin my journey across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

As I continue forth, I breathe in the sound that your instruments create
Your lyrics erupt from your mouths in song and encircle the air around me
It fills my heart in such a vigorous force that it drives me to continue onward
Across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

There are times as I'm making my way where I stumble and I fall
But as I hear the encouragement and faith in your special words and melodies.
I get right back up on my feet and I start walking again
And I carry on across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

Sometimes I feel my body start to tire and my spirit begins to grow weary
A heavyness falls on top of me like a weight apon my soul
But your harmony and your uplifting songs of confidence and trust causes me to regain my strength
And I burst forth again and I continue to cross the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

Finally the end of the bridge is within my sight
I know my journey across at times was long, hard, and sometimes I've wanted to turn back
But your encouragement in your songs, in your instruments and words tells me that I have made it, and yes...I CAN overcome anything
Because you helped me to not give up, I CROSSED the bridge to the heart of the music and you... And I am so thankful I can now say that..."I am HERE!"

UNTITLED

Three brothers with beautiful hair
Beautiful eyes
But all full of fear
The fear of rejection
The fear of being too different
These are the fears everyone faces
They overcame obstacles that stood in their way
Without them there would be no hope for me today
They've shown me hope
And Courage
And Love
They've shown me what faith can do
And what it has done
They are the trio of brothers with all that I want
They are called Hanson
They are number one

UNTITLED

I used to wait for your call,
It didn't come,
I felt so small
Lame excuses, mind abusive,
Little games you played with me

I knew how it was,
You spun a web-
Beautiful silk, tight and sticky
The fool I was, I walked right in
I didn't fight, I let you win.

You played your games,
Danced round my head,
Trapped by my lonely love
I bled

Oblivious to everything
But you and me.
I thought I was happy-
Candy coated doubt.
I knew you'd made it
And I knew you'd break it
So fearfully I waited.

And then you left,
My world crashed down
Sorrow reined,
Emptiness found.

The memories
Of you and me
Silently tumble in my head
It's all so clear
They all make sense
Now I see
What you really did

Scarred and numb,
Dry and used,
I will always be
Thanks to you

But hopeless and weak,
Confused and meek,
Broken and torn,
I am no more

A tiny light
Shining through
A burden lifted-
My burden was you

So now I'm free,
For once I'm me,
Not your girlfriend,
Not your date,
Not your ex,
Not your slave.

So many, many things
I didn't know before
Happiness I have found
Once more

My world's so bright,
My world seems new,
I guess that's cause my world's
Not you.

REMEMBER THE DAY

i remember the day
when you came into my life
i remember the day
when you started dropping hints
i remember the day
when you made me yours
and i made you mine
i remember the day
when we stayed up all night
'holding' each other tight
i remember the day
when you asked me to be yours forever
i remember the day
when we vowed to love each other
til death do us part
i remember the day
when you lied to me
i remember the day
when you broke my heart
i remember the day
when you shattered my life apart
i remember the day
when she took you, my love, away
i remember the day
when i thought that all was lost
i remember the feeling that i felt
the feeling that you get
when love dies
when love lies
i remember the day
when i knew that you'd never be mine again
i remember the day
when i thought you were gone for good
but most of all
i remember the day
when you came back into my life
i remember the day
when you put me on an emotional rollercoaster ride
i remember the day
when i felt like i was being pushed into the past
i remember the day
when all the old feelings came rushing to the surface
i remember the day
when you almost made me cry
i remember the day
when i wished that you would just go away.

UNTITLED

That's right I'm a Hanson fan
Scary huh???
You better run now while you have the chance
I know you think I'm crazy
I know you say *what is she thinking
Doesn't she know how disgusting and wrong*
That they actually know about music
That they actually play instruments
That they actually sing
That they actually know how to harmonize
That they actually write their own music
That they weren't put together
That they aren't bad boys
That they like being nice
That they care
That they take time to make music they are proud of
That they inspire people to show their talents and goodness
That they give hope to the older generations who have almost lost their faith in the younger generations
That they are actually REAL
My god what is wrong with me??
Why would anybody anywhere ever want to like that??
Why would I want something real when their is fake all over the place??
You better get away from me as quick as you can or you might even start to think for yourself instead of what they try to sell you.
Hurry before you see reality.

SIMPLY YOU

From the moment I saw you I knew my search was done.
I could vision you with me, dream and reality melted into one.
All that was black and white seemed to haze into gray.
I’ll never forget that one moment that day.

Here I am and forever I'll stay if that’s the way things are meant to be.
Let me be the one to make you smile when you cry.
I wanna be the one to hold you when you hurt and don’t know why.
Just to know what’s deep inside and to love you till then end of time.
It’s all I ask, it’s all I pray, all I want is just to be right where you are.

If you are ever to wonder what it is in you I see.
I’d tell you it’s everything that you’ve done to me.
You made me smile when all I felt was pain.
You were the truth in all of the lies.
