The Babysitter - Part 3

Chapter 4 - Continued

"It was the one I had a long time ago. When I was little right after Jennifer left to go home. You remember it kept me up for weeks. It finally went away. It's the same one with a small difference. It wasn't Andrew. It was someone new. I don't know him." He said.
"Zac, calm down. Listen for a minute. You've had a lot on your mind. I want you to lay back right here. Take a sleeping pill so you won't dream." He said.
Zac listened. He fell asleep a few minutes after he took the pill. Taylor looked at Isaac.
"Why didn't you ask?" He asked.
"Because, he doesn't need to be pushed now." He replied.
Taylor excepted it and went to lay down. He soon fell asleep also. Ike started driving again.
Zac's head swimmed a few minutes. Then it started over. Half way through it stopped. It dropped short and went black. At the same time I was doing the same, dropping off the end into blackness.
"Zac..." I said.
It was dark. I didn't like it. Not now.
"Jennifer!" He screamed back.
I followed his voice. A clear picture formed at the same time. He had found me. There was a wall between us.
"It's protecting us both I suppose." Zac said.
"Yes me from them sensing it. You from pain." I said.
"Pain?" He asked.
"Yes, this side is full of pain." I said.
"How so?" He asked.
I walked to the wall.
"Zac? You have to hurry. I don't know what he is planning but it ain't good. I can tell you that much now." I said.
"Jennifer, I won't leave you. What are they doing to you?" He asked.
"They are using magnetic waves. It keeps me asleep in a trance. A deep one when used to much. He turned it up. It hits hard. You have to turn around....leave and don't come back." I said.
"I will come back. I'm coming to get you. You can't hold me back now. I love you. I won't let them hurt you." He said.
"Zachary walker Hanson....go back! Don't come." I said a bit louder.
"No, I won't. I'm sick of running." He screamed.
I walked closer.
"Zac, I meant to tell you." I said.
"Tell me what?" He asked.
"Zac, I love you. I'll do anything for you. You can't come back. Not this time. He will just as well kill you. Then ...wait. GO BACK!!" I screamed.
"No." He said.
His image started fading.
"No! Don't go." I said.
"I'm waking up. Jennifer.... I'll save you." He said.
As he fadded away he said I love you. Then the wall dropped.
"But you don't understand." I said.
I was left alone in the blackness. I hate it here.
"I want to go back to the fantasy kingdom." I said. The rainbow colors took over then and back to dragons and knights, for the rest of the time I was asleep.

Zac woke-up at 3 am.
"Jennifer!" He screamed. Ike jumpped. Taylor fell off the bed. He raised his head up.
"God, my head. Zac could you at least warn people?" Taylor asked.
"Isaac? Go to Oklahoma. She's there. But I sensed something else." He said. He knew deep down, but his head hasn't put it together. Taylor drove for a while.

Amber drove to Navada. There she got a hotel for the night. She felt better knowing that Amanda wouldn't hurt Taylor. And slept a lot better. Yet she didn't know what happened. If she was dreaming or not.

June 11th 2005, 7:45 am.
The facility in Tulsa,Ok.

He brought me out. Again he knew something wasn't right. He hooked up another monitor.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Are you pregnant?" He asked.
"Not that I know of." I replied.
He checked the monitors. He looked serious then he had a scared look.
"What?" I asked.
He looked at me with a confused look, yet a scared look. He then left. He left it off. John came down and he pulled me up.
"Why didn't you tell us?" He asked.
"Tell you what?" I asked.
He sat me back down. He looked frustrated and mad.
"Tell you what?" I asked again.
He looked back.
"The magnetic waves triggered an effect on you. It is screwing up your whole body. He sensed a baby, but there is no baby. How is that possible?" He asked.
"I don't know." I said.
He lunged knocking me off center, enough to fall off the side of the bed. He backed me in the corner.
"You're suppose to know. It is your body. Now how is it poissible?" He literally screamed as Sabrina stood watching.
"I....I...I don't know. I swear." I said. He pulled me up.
"How about a nice trip for a while? It'll do you good." He said.
He led me out of the bubble. But I soon found out the bubble was a lot better. He took me to the basement. There he put me in a small room, that was maybe 4x6. There wasn't anything inside just four walls and a ceiling. He shut the door and not even a small light existed. He reopened the door.
"You're scared of pitch blackness. So empty. So cold. Maybe it'll do you good to stay here for a few days, then you will come to your senses." He said and closed it before I could object. I stood in the black room for a while, waiting and hoping he would see some sympathy and let me out. No such luck. It was getting hot inside the small room and stuffy. I backed up till I hit the wall, then found the corner. Sliding down the wall, I had time to think and to cry. And crying I did. What else was there to do?
"If I had just let them stay." My head accused myself.

Outside John sat eating a ham sandwhich.
"John you know she will blame herself. And more than likely it will effect the way she reacts." Robert said.
"I know she is. There is a monitor in there." He said as he got up.
"Don't let her out. Don't give her anything til she tells you what I want to know." He said.
"I can't do that. It could kill her. John you know that." He said.
"Robert? Do I say. For the last time if you're not mean and cruel then just leave." He said.
Robert followed instructions. My answer remained the same that I didn't know. So at 9:30 when he got back I was still in there. John opened the door. My eyes were red and puffy. My cheeks were red as tears still slid down my face.
"Why?" He asked.
"I told you. I don't know." I said.
"Then you can stay in here till you find out. You know I'm not like Andrew." He said.
"I know." I said.
"Tell me what I want to know." He said.
"I can't tell you what I don't know." I shot back.
He turned around.
"Let her out. Ten minutes to go the bathroom. Get her a plate and put her back in there." He ordered.
As he did what was told, I ate by the way of a glow stick attached to the fork. I used it for an advantage till it faded out. Then it was dark again. Sleeping was impossible. I never knew what was in there. My heart was breaking. I couldn't get out and I knew I'd be there for a while. I tried to think of a reason but nothing came to mind. At Midnight he tried for one last time. And still he left, leaving me there and him pissed off. He walked to the front.
"What does the test say?" He asked.
"That she's not." He said.
"Ok. Leave her in there for tomorrow. Then I want her back to the bubble or whatever it is." He said.
"Ok." He said.
They went to bed. I however wasn't that simple. I sat up looking and waiting all night.

Zac drove till Ike told him to stop. He was going through Missouri. Then Zac walked to the back and sat down. He wasn't tired but he had been driving a while. He sat down. He laid the wedding ring in front of him.
"Where are you?" He asked.
Taylor walked up.
"Zac? You alright? You look a little pale." He said.
Zac laid his head down on the table.
"Zac?" Taylor said as he touched his arm.
"Zachary? Answer me." Taylor warned.
He picked his head up. He was out cold.
"Isaac. Come here." He said.
Ike was pulled over anyway. He had to stop to get gas and such. He walked to the back. He checked and had Taylor get some water. While they tried.
Zac was walking down a hall. An old school. He turned the corner.
I sat alone in the floor. I had eventually fallen asleep. I was alone and it felt so cold.
"Jennifer?" His voice was soft, soothing.
I cast my eyes his direction, not moving.
"What is it?" He asked.
"It's cold." I said.
Kind of in space he walked up and sat beside me.
"What is it? You can tell me." He said.
I looked at his eyes. I wanted the comforting feeling.
"It's not you. It's me. I told you to stay away. Why are you not listening?" I asked.
"Because I love you. I will not sit back knowing you're in trouble." He replied.
"I'm not in trouble. He won't hurt me." I said.
"He won't?" He asked.
"No, he's afraid to." I said.
"You don't know that." He said.
"I don't but he has other plans. He's waiting for something." I said.
"Jennifer, look at me." He said and I did.
"I love you. Keep that in your mind. For five years you have kept and protected me. It's time for me to protect you. If it involves danger...oh well. You dealt with far worse." He said.
"No. Zac." I said.
"I do have a question. How are we talking? I remember it like it was real." He said.
"Zac, we have a connection. We're married remember? Love has taken ahold of our minds. I can connect to Amber also. But they sense it. They know it. I think it is a special link formed way back when. Maybe even when we didn't know." I said.
"Okay." He said.
I stood up.
"Watch." I said. I drew a circle. I closed my eyes. A image of them appeared.
"Taylor and Isaac are about ready to take you to the doctor. But I don't want you to go." I said.
"I won't. I won't." He said.
The image changed to Amber driving up the road.
"She is alone. She left Amanda in San Fransico, California. Why she did well she hasn't told yet." I said.
It changed again. John was holding a girl about eight. He killed her. His wife. Well now x. He killed her too. He doesn't know I can escape and go to memories. But that is as far. I saw a house lay out. Ours. DON"T GO HOME." I said.
He was beginning to fade.
