[HANSON STORIES]

The Babysitter - Part 3

Chapter 11 - Continued

September 6th 2005.

I woke up to the alarm clock at 4:45am. I cut it off before it woke Zac up. I got ready. The uniform I held it up after a bath and just looked at the name. They had sent me a new one with Agent Hanson, instead of Mayo though I had both of them. I put the Hanson one on. I figured it was time for them to know. I left the house at 5:35 am. I was there by 7:30 way before. I waited till everyone was there. I took the stand before the official leader.
"I have an announcement." I said while everyone was looking at me.
"To start off today I want to tell you something." I said with dead silence filling the room.
"For the purpose I was kidnapped. I was kept pending a secret I didn't know. Now I am here today to tell each and everyone of you I don't know who you are really. But I want to say I like my job and I have no intention to quit." I said.
It was all I wanted to say, I then walked down.
"You don't belong here." Someone said from the back. I looked back.
"I love my job and I'll do my job reguardless." I said.
I then walked out. It was a job but I had something I needed to do. I went to the files and made sure John had only that one child and he only had one. I did my research and then went home...

Months passed with no sign of Adam nor of Andrew. It seemed like everything was back to normal. Zac was doing better in the school. He was now caught up. All three of them were. Taylor and Amanda were now friends...not boyfriend/girlfriend, but friends. Taylor and Amber were spending a whole lot of time together. So we all assumed they were going out. Me and Zac were back to normal or what we call normal, taking some time off from the FBI so they can straighten their offices out. Although I did feel a bit sick.

April 17th 2006.

I woke up at 4:30 and felt sick to my stomach. I sat down on the bathroom floor. Zac came in.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"No... you're sick. You need to stay at home. Not do anything today." He said.
"I'm fine Zac." I said.
"How about I take you to the clinic just to be sure." He said.
"I'm fine." I said as I got up.
"Jennifer, you're not. I'll make the appointment. You lay down." He said.
I looked into his eyes. He wasn't gonna back down.
"Okay." I said. I laid down while he called. I laid back thinking I had a idea what was wrong but just kept quiet. I wanted to know for sure. He made the appoinment.
"Dr. Russel. At noon." He said.
"Okay." I said.
He sat down. I laid my head on his shoulder.
"Its been quiet for a while." I said.
"Yeah.. with Amber and Taylor gone to Georgia along with Amanda and Issac taking a few classes here and there." He said.
"Yeah. So quiet." I said. We then got up. He cooked. We ate breakfast.
"Zac." I said.
"Yeah?" He asked.
I waited a few minutes.
"I basically know what's wrong." I said.
"You do?" He asked.
"Yeah... the doctor can make sure my theory is right." I said.
"Well, what is it?" He asked.
"Zac, you haven't placed it? You were twelve when Zoe was born. Don't you remember what your mom went through?" I asked.
"A little." He said.
"Zac...?" I said.
"I remember she was sick in the mornings...." He trailed off. "Are you implying you're pregant?" He asked about two minutes later.
"What else Zac? Morning sickness... it's there. I skipped a period. I know you know." I said.
"Yeah, I know the symptoms." He said.
"Then you know." I said.
"Yes, I know." He said.
"Zac... it's not completely out of the question. I am fully capable ya know. And so are you. It's not out of the question." I said as I sat back. He thought a minute.
"But a baby? Another person? Jennifer we don't know if Adam is still watching." He said.
I got up.
"I don't care about Adam or Andrew or even John. Zac you have to let go." I said.
He then got up.
"Yeah, let go... and if he goes after you... while you're pregant. If he claims the baby as his. You know what he wants. A child by you. What if John takes the baby?" He asked.
"Zac, he won't. He may before I have the child. He knows that me and you will have the baby 24/7." I said.
"Yeah." He said as he walked over to me.
"How long do you think?" He asked.
"Could be two months." I said.
"Probably less.." He said.
"Yeah." I said.
At eleven oclock I took a bath and changed. We were there at noon. He called me back.
"Well, Mrs.Hanson.... what seems to be the problem?" He asked.
"I say I am pregant." I said.
"Okay." He said.
He ran some tests while we waited a little bit till he called us back. I sat down. Zac sat down. He laid the papers in front of him.
"You were right. You are in fact pregant. One month." He said.
"Is that good?" Zac asked.
"Yes." He said while he handed me a bunch of papers.
"Read over them. In the back there is a diet plan. Try to follow it closely... and congratulations. I'll mail papers for a gynecologist." He said.
"Thanks." I said as I shook his hand.
"When can you tell the sex of the child?" I asked.
"Five to six months." He replied.
"Thanks." I said.
We went home. Zac was happy yet he was worried. Once we got home. I looked at him.
"Zac." I said.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Look at me." I said and he did.
"You don't have to worry." I said.
"I don't? I have Adam." He said.
"No... you have no one. I mean it ...no one Zac." I said.
"So I have to only worry about you and the baby?" He asked.
"Yes." I said.
I kissed him.
"Zac, Adam wants a child with his genes. Unless he abandons that idea. I hope he doesn't." I said.
"Well, now we have about 900 million people to tell." I said.
"Humm, you're right." He said.
"But they can wait." I said.
"Yeah." He said.
I kissed him again and walked to the kitchen. We needed to go the store anyway. I finished the list and we both went together. He drove and once to wal-mart super center. He parked and then we got out. I grabbed the paper and we walked in. We got what was on the list. I wandered from Zac to the baby section looking at strollers and baby beds. I had a feeling Zac wasn't ready for a baby. He felt he should be more stable and Adam and Andrew should be out of our lives for good. I wanted one. I picked up a suit and laid it back down. I checked some of the prices and all. Zac found me as he stood back and watched. I was right. He didn't want one but he wouldn't dare tell me to kill the baby. He couldn't even do that. He watched a few minutes as I looked at different things. Finally he walked up.
"You ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
I went with him. I looked back once and I swore I saw Adam.
"Zac, you go on. I'll meet you there in a few minutes." I said.
"Okay." He said as he walked on. I went back and walked around the corner. I looked around.
"I've got to let it go." I said.
"Let what go? The hope that I'll never come get you?" He asked.
"No, the hope you'll die." I said looking behind me. He stood where I once was.
"Any special purpose to why you're looking at baby stuff?" He asked.
"No... I was just thinking of havin a baby." I said.
"Mine?" He asked.
"Hell no." I said.
"Then who's?" He asked.
"Zac's. What more can I do to say I love him? I mean he saved me from you and he helped. But what can I do for him? Something that doesn't involve you. A child won't involve you or anyone else but us." I said.
"You're right there but he's not ready for a child." He said.
"You're younger then he is." I said.
"So?" He said.
"I need to be going. And you need to get out of my life." I said. I walked by when ge grabbed my arm.
"I know you're having a baby. You're to easy to read. When is this child due?" He asked.
"When he/she is ready." I said and pulled away.
"I'll have the child for my own... bet on it." He said.
I turned to reply but he was gone. I walked on to the front. Zac was waiting by the door as I walked up.
"Lets get out of here." I said.
"You saw him too? Why did you go back?" He asked as we walked to the parking lot. I looked at Zac right in the eyes.
"I had to make sure it was clear to him. This child isn't his and that he will not take the baby. If I have to kill him first." I said.
He smiled and we walked on. Adam stood at the door watching.

"You won't get away with it. You will do as I say." He said to himself. Andrew walked up. He saw us.
"Why not get her?" He asked.
"Can't. The room's not ready. Won't be for a few more weeks. She knows we're watching. Its enough to keep her here in Tulsa. She won't go anywhere now anyway." He said.
"Why not? She has the will power to do it." He said.
"Yes. She does but Zac won't let her. She's pregant dad." He said and walked away.

Me and Zac arrived home about 7:30 that night. We put everything up. I walked up stairs to get a blanket. I walked by an empty room. It was one of the guest bedrooms. I stopped and walked in. I looked around and imagined a crib and wallpaper. A chester drawer set with little animals on it. It changed to an image. It was either a flashback or a future thing. Me and Zac were there standing over a white crib. There was a blanket in my hands and he was holding my arms. I walked closer. There wasn't a baby in the crib. Just a note with spots of blood on it.
