He came with me. I told them what room and showed them the medical thingy. Saying I could get in and do the test. They gave me a room.I took him down.there. I got him a gown. Once in the room I handed him the gown. He just looked at me. "Zac." I said. "What?" He asked. "What's the matter?" I asked. "I don't want to." He said. I sat him on the table. "Zac,I need to make sure your alright inside too emotionally. I know your not. Listen.... it ain't like I haven't seen." I said. "You haven't." He said. "Zac, who do you think gave you a bath and put the pj's on you?" I asked. "You done that?" he asked. "Yes." I said. He went really red. I cupped his face with my hands. He kind of jerked. "What is it?"I asked. "The're cold." He said. "My hands?" I asked. He nodded. "Zac, please just put the gown on and lay down. I'm going to get something." I said. He nodded and I kissed his check. "Be back in a few minutes." I said. I walked out and down to the desk. "Pull the record on Zachary Hanson." I said. She did and handed it to me. I checked. "Thanks." I Said. I walked down the hall to the back.and got needles and stuff what I would need. Then walked back. He was sitting on the table. "What are you gonna do?" He asked. "While I'm here, I'm going to give you a complete exam." I said.. "Oh." He said. I got the new charts and wrote down what I knew. He sat there. I fixed the papers and got height, weight, and everything. "Shall I pee in a cup?" He asked. I threw him the cup. "Bathroom's over there." I said. "I was only joking." He said. "I'm not." I said. He took the cup and walked to the batroom and came out a few minutes later. He handed me the cup. I did the test and wrote it down. "Sit on the table." I said. He got up. I did the usual test. He watched and every now and then I looked up. "You ok?" I asked. "Yeah....tickles though." He said. "Lay back." I said. He did and I did a few tests and then had him turn over. "Relax. It is going to hurt a little. I'll go easy." I said. He fully relaxed. Yeah he cried and he asked me to stop. I finally finished. "Lay there a few minutes. I'll let you know when you can get dressed." I said. I got the needles. He had the look of total horror on his face. "No." He said. "Zac, listen what's Mackie up to lately. I heard he had a b-day party." I said. I had him talking on about Mackie and them. Then I gave him the shot. "Ouch." He said. I handed him a magazine. "Read." I said. When he was totally in the article, I gave him the remaining three. "All done." I said. He looked back. "Huh?" he asked. "I'm done. You can get dressed now." I said. He got up and got dressed. I finished the work and then went to the nurses desk and had her enter the stuff. "Thanks....um. I'm taking home the report to keep." I said. "Ok." She said. I took it and put it up. I then went to get him and he was throwing up. "What's the matter?" I asked. I looked beside him and realized it was the wrong magazine to give him. "I'm sorry.Zac." I said. I picked them up and put them away and then checked on him. "Zac, you feel hot. But that can't be your temperature was normal." I said. He laid his head on my shoulder. I got up. "Come on." I said. He came. He keep nodding off as we went home. "Zac,are you keeping something from me?" I asked. "No." He said. I looked at him. "You've been waking up haven't you?" I asked. He nodded. Once we got to the house I put him in bed. "But I want to stay with you." He said. "Good night." I said. He started crying. "Zac don't start." I said. I walked to the living room. I sat down to do some paper work, but he wouldn't stop crying. He laid in there and cried for an hour and a half solid, same amount almost choked a few times. I got up and walked in there. "Shut up and go to sleep." I said, almost yelling. That didn't help. I walked back another 30 minutes. I got up and walked in. "Come on." I said. He got up and I walked to the living room. "Lay down." I said. I laid him on the couch and sat down on the coffee table. "What's wrong now?" I asked. He calmed down some before answering. "I don't like being in there alone." He said. "Ok, you can lay in here." I said. He fell asleep. Amanda got home at 7:00. She laid some papers in my lap. "Andrew...he was arrested when he was younger under 18. That's why you found nothing. I done some looking and got it." She said. I picked it up and read over it. "Rape at 16?" I asked. "Yeah.there's more. I didn't have time to get everything." She said. "Ok." I said. "I'll get it tomorrow." We ordered out and I woke Zac up. He ate and laid back down. I went to bed at 11:00. He came to. At 6:00, I got up. Amanda got ready to go. He woke up. I was fixen to leave and he came running out of the room. "No don't go." He said. He grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go. "Zac, I have to go." I said. "No. He'll come back." He said. "No he won't, guards are watching him." I said. I finally got free. "Bye Zac, see ya around 5:00." I said. I left him crying but left him. I went to work.and came home around 4:00. He was still crying. I walked to the bedroom. "Zachary. " I said. He turned around and still had tears falling down his checks. "What's the matter?" I asked. I walked to the bed, noticing the pillow was totally soaked. I got the tissue and held it over his nose. "Blow." I said. He took it and did. About four times. I got one and wiped his face off. His eyes were red and his checks were too. "Zac, what happened?" I asked. "You left me." He said. I reached to grab his hands, but he pulled away. "No." He said. "Come here." I said. He did. I laid his head over. "Go ahead and cry if that's what you want to do." I said. He did for another hour. I just held him and listened. About 5:30 I got up and sat him down. I got him some clothes. "Come on." I said. I picked him up, but it was beginning to hurt. I gave him a bath. This time he agreed, after he was clean and dry and dressed. I walked to the kitchen. "Amanda said eat without her. She was gonna eat with a few of the girls at the squad. So what do you want?" I asked. "I don't care." He said. I fixed supper and he ate. I then went to the kitchen and he sat down in my lap. "You know your heavy?" I asked. He nodded and laid his head over. "I have an idea." I said. I pulled the couch bed out and sat down on the mattress. He got in my lap and still laid down but he didn't want to sit that way so I got on the couch and put him in my lap. He slept peacefully and never once whimpered or cried out. He just slept. When Amanda came home she came in and looked over my shoulder. "Remind me to have a baby son." She said. "Ok." I said. I got up and laid him down. He turned over and fell into a deep dreamless sleep. "Good thing he liked cream potatos." I said. "Why?" She asked. I yawned. "I put sleeping pills in his so he would sleep a dreamless sleep." I said. "Why?" She asked. "Because he hasn't slept, but only for a few hours in the past few days." I said. "Oh." She said. We talked and discussed the situation over and then decided. I looked at him. "He won't hurt him. I won't let him." I said. "He won't." She said. We got up and covered him up and went to bed at 4:00. The doorbell kept ringing and I got up. "Hello." I said, half asleep. "Jennifer it's Tay." He said. I shook my head. "Yeah what is it?" I asked. "I need Zac now." He said. "Why?" I asked. "He knows he's here. He came by and I heard Jess tell him. He said he was gonna come get him." He said. "Taylor he's asleep." I said. "Wake-him up." He said. "I gave him a sleeping pill in his mashed potates so he'll sleep but not dream." I said. "Fine with me." He said. "What were you gonna do?" I asked. "Take him out of Tulsa. I left mom and dad a note. I know he hurt him." He said. "What?" I asked. "He told me the other day that if Zac didn't come home soon he would have to find a new toy. That told me." He said. "Where are you taking him?" I asked. He came in and got some paper ans wrote down the address. "Memorize it and burn it." He said.
