Taylor walked over to Phyllis who was standing near the entrance of the hotel. She didn’t notice him approaching and just stood there, staring off into space. He put his hand gently on her shoulder and she turned around. She had tears in her eyes but tried to smile in spite of them. “Good bye.” She said with a strained voice. He took her hand and looked directly in her eyes. “I’m going to miss you.” He stated boldly. “I’ll miss you too.” She said and looked down, letting a tear fall down her face. He grabbed her and embraced her, never wanting to let her go. “I’ll call.” He said in her ear. She pulled back and kissed him on the cheek. “I have to go.” She smiled and put her hand on his face. “Bye.” She said and turned away. Taylor couldn’t stand it. He turned her around and kissed her on the lips. “Good bye.” He said softly and let her go. She walked backwards and waved good bye, letting her tears run freely down her face. She finally left the hotel and climbed in the car to leave him there, alone.
