I couldn’t believe it. He was gone. Taylor was gone. I sobbed and cried on the floor as Amanda and Holly attempted to console me. What was I going to do? I loved him so much and I could just feel him and I knew that he was in pain. In the back of my mind, I could hear him calling out for me. “Phyllis…” I threw my head back and screamed as loudly as humanly possible. My friends held onto me as I racked with sobs. ‘TAYLOR!” I screamed. I clenched my hands into fists as I cried. “Come on Phyl.” Amanda said in a comforting voice as both her and Holly helped me up and led me out of the rest room and out of the school. Anyone that was left after school stared at me and asked me what was wrong. I couldn’t even talk. I could just cry. Amanda just waved her hand at them angrily as her and Holly took me to outside and helped me to get into Amanda’s car. I sat in the passenger seat, sobbing. Amanda ran around the other side and helped Holly to get in the back while she also got in and turned on the engine. She squealed out of the parking lot of the school at a fast speed while I cried. “Phyl…we’ll find him.” She said, putting her hand on my shoulder. I just looked at her. I could feel my throat constricting as I choked on my emotion. She turned her eyes back to the road and we drove home. “Man, what are we supposed to do?” Holly attempted to whisper so that I couldn’t hear her. “What do you mean?” Amanda said angrily. “We can’t call the police.” Holly answered. “We have to find him ourselves Hol.” Amanda said as she pulled into the parking space of my apartment complex. I felt like I was going numb. Every part of my being cried out for him. Amanda helped me out of the car and took me to my apartment. They led me in and sat me down on the couch. Holly went into the kitchen area and got me a glass of water to try and calm me down. “Here.” Holly said and handed it to me. I took it from her and looked up at her. “Phyl, we’ll find him.” Amanda said. I turned my head to look at her. “Manda, if only you knew…” I began to say. I stopped suddenly when I could see something race through my mind. There was Taylor, in the dark by himself, sobbing to himself. His shirt was torn and he looked so miserable. He thew his head back and with tears dripping down his face, screamed. I could feel myself start to well up again. He lowered his head into his hands and that’s when I noticed. He had shackles on his wrists and ankles. They were so tight that I could see there were wounds that were bleeding from where the shackles cut into his flesh. Then suddenly, the same dark figure appeared before him. Taylor backed more against the wall. “What…what do you want…” Taylor stammered through tears. “You already know what I want. I want you to come to an end.” The dark figure smiled, showing gleaming white canines. I could feel myself shudder just looking at him. “TAYLOR!” I called through my mind. “Phyllis…save me…” My Taylor whispered. << Back to Story Page>> << Back To Index Of Chapters Page>> Back To Main Page>> |
