The Babysitter - Part 3

Chapter 13 - Continued

"Her name was Amy, just like yours." I said.
"You know her?" She asked.
"She's my Uncle's child. His first I might add." I said.
"I'm sorry to hear that." She said.
"Well, she was a sweet child. She was very scared and I tried to comfort her the best I could." She added.
"Yes." I said.
"He took her away and I never saw her again. I saw the news and the girl's photo. He knew, I knew and he tried to kill me for it. I promised never to tell. When I turned fourteen he got arrested and I got pregnant with Ashley. I'm actually married to her father now. We miss our little girl." She said.
"Amy, I can get her back." I said.
"I trust you can. But what about you?" She asked.
"What about me?" I asked.
"You have that look. How far along are you?" She asked.
"Five weeks and two days." I said.
"He knows... you can count on that and his friend Adam and Andrew. They probably know to." She said.
"They do." I said.
She wrote down something.
'The house is bugged. Go to 1250 East Spring St. Jenks to find them'
I nodded.
"Well... then count on them coming soon." She said.
"Amy, I'm sorry for what you went through. I didn't want to take her. It was life or death and he didn't hurt her." I said.
"I believe you." She said.
I walked to the door. Something told me time to go. As I opened the door her husband walked up.
"Amy darling." He said.
I walked by him.
"I'll contact you with information." I replied.
He didn't realize who I was for a few minutes.
"You should know... you have her." He said as I turned around backing to the truck.
"I came to ask questions. I'm leaving now. When I get your little girl back I'll bring her here myself." I said.
I got in and drove away remembering the look he gave me wasn't comforting.
"That man wants me dead." I thought. I stopped at a red light almost waiting for a car to try to run me off the road. I made it home with no problem. I walked in.
"Ashley, wasn't his baby, but his daughter's baby. Amy, Ashley." I said.
"Where did you go?" He asked.
"Amy's." I said.
"Ok." He said.
"I know where he is now." I said and smiled.
"And you're not going after him. No way. After a year you can. Not now." He said.
"Who said I was?" I asked.
"The look." He said.
"Oh." I said as I sat down and keep digging at the dead girl and his ex wife. She was pregnant, but it wasn't his. He killed her and the baby. I leaned back thinking hard. I ate something else also. About 11:30 I went to bed.

April 22nd, Saturday 2006 : 12:00 pm

Taylor had just got there. Him, Amanda, Amber and Isaac. We were all talking.and catching up.
"Did you have fun Tay?" I asked.
"Six flags was awesome." He said.
"Yep." I said.
"The Mind Bender, wasn't joking." He said.
"Yeah, ya only got sick three times." Amber said.
"Well it wasn't you." He said.
Amanda snickered.
"Yeah, she knows." She said.
"Awww." I said.
"How about we go today, its not far." Taylor said.
"Naaa." I said.
"Oh my god. She passed it up." Taylor said.
I smiled.
"Yes, I did." I said.
"Then how about whitewater rafting?" He asked.
"No thanks." Zac said.
I was looking through the kitchen doors when I saw a sack on the table. Inside was the mobile for the crib and a few bottles and odd stuff we had gotten the day before. I got up and walked to the kitchen and ran the water. I put the bag in the garage in the trunk of the car.
"What are you hiding?" Amber asked.
I swallowed hard.
"Some paper work I was working on. Don't want Zac to see." I said.
"Oh." She said.
I grabbed the key.
"Not a good place. He has a key." She said.
"He won't know unless you open your mouth." I said smiling.
"Ok." She said.
We went back in. I had one of Zac's shirts on. It was loose and no one knew. When they left I relaxed.

April 26th 2006, Wednesday

I had woke-up sick at 5:30. Zac was gone with Taylor and Isaac for the day. It was now 2:30 and I was painting. The room had gone from dirty to clean and now it was ready for the decorating paint. I had a stool to sit on but I was standing up for a while. The layout was done and the black-outline. I was filling in. I was doing a square when I felt something hit the back of my leg.
"Ouch!" I yelled.
It hurt. A tranquilizer had hit the back of my leg. As it started to work I fell. The paintbrush slid down the wall leaving a trail of red paint on the white wall. The two men sent to get me paid it no attention. They picked me up and left the house, closing the door but not locking it. I came too several hours later sitting in the back of a van. I couldn't see clearly just yet, but I knew I wasn't at home. The back of my leg hurt a little. The van suddenly stopped throwing me into the floorboard. Someone grabbed me back into the seat. It had stopped in a garage. The door opened and Adam stood there. The others got out. He helped me out.
"Glad to see you made it ok." He said.
"Ok, my ass. I fell on the floorboard and the damn needle hurt." I said.
He glared at the two men.
"I said... unharmed." He declared.
"It was either that or we drag her with a sedative, which may hurt the baby." They replied.
"Fair enough." He said as he grabbed my arm.
"Come with me." He said.
I was watching and remembering what we passed. It was a dark place. It seemed to be another warehouse.
"I've been expecting you and I have the place all ready." He said.
He was in a weird mood, all happy. He didn't even hurt me. He led me to a room. It was a light blue and it had windows. He sat me down.
"How are you?" He asked.
I looked at him.
"Let me go and I'll tell ya." I said.
"No can do." He said and then he stood up straight.
"I got to skip on the fun part... that's not fair." He said.
"Fun part?" I asked.
"Sex." He said.
"Oh." I said.
The baby. He wanted the baby. Zac had been right.
"You knew I would come. Why?" He asked.
"Why what?" I asked.
"Why did you get pregnant knowing I would come after you. The baby doesn't necessarily have to belong to me. I wouldn't mind.... I mean.... after you have the baby. You're dead anyway and you know it. Zac'll loose both of you. The baby and you. He'll never get over it and he may even kill himself if I am lucky. If not he'll probably come after me. So... why?" He asked again.
"The one thing that will eat at your soul is the fact that the baby won't be yours." I said.
"Maybe you are right. It is a slight possibility but none the least." He said.
"What about your father? And John?" I asked.
"I made a deal with them both. I got this place set up while you and Zac were in the warehouse refinery. I was here. When I wasn't there I had it planned for a boy or a girl. It really didn't matter." He said.
"But... whats the deal?" I asked.
"At nine months you'll deliver the baby here. Sabrina will be here. She is your nurse. Any shots or check-ups she can do. She'll deliver the baby. You'll have three days then you will be sent to a warehouse in Jenks, where my father and John will proceed to do whatever they plan. I keep the baby. You die." He said.
"And if the baby is still born or I miscarry?" I asked.
"I have that covered." He said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Muhuh... you see one time... the last time you were out cold some medicine Robert gave you were fertility drugs. That's what I gave you. Sabrina was instructed to extract three to four mature eggs and she did. Which are frozen now. You miscarry. I can start it all over and it be mine. If that ones does the same you'll die by my hands." He implied.
"Oh." I said.
"Which reminds me. You're six weeks now?" He asked.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"The doctor. I can sound like Zac." He said.
The afternoon came quickly.

At 5:45 Zac opened the door thinking I was at home. The lights were off and no sound. Taylor was behind him.
"Jennifer?" He called.
He stopped Taylor.
"It's to quiet. Stay down here." He said as he walked in and went up stairs. He passed the room seeing the white carpet drenched in red paint and the the mark down the wall. He closed the door and locked it.
"She's been taken. I got to find her." He said.
To fast for Taylor, but Amber got it
. "Zac? Wait how do you know?" She asked.
"I just do." He said. He tried but to no avail.

September 19th 2006: 12:30pm: 6 months ( 27 weeks.)
He still had me. She was doing a sonogram to determine the sex. I kept moving.
"Be still please." She ordered.
"NO!" I said.
"I was grippy too during my pregnancy." She said.
"You?" I asked.
"Yep. Twins." She said.
"Oh lord." I thought.
"I was kidnapped at six and half months. He killed em. He stabbed my stomach and caught the babies... both of them." She said with a small tear forming. I laid back. I wondered what Zac was doing.
