Captive Heart

Chapter 28

“WAIT!” Holly yelled, looking towards the barracks. Phyllis looked up. A silhouette started to emerge from the flames. Phyllis held her breath as the image started to come closer. There, walking towards the compound, Taylor came. His jeans were ripped and had burn marks in them along with his open camouflage shirt. He had soot all along his face, arms and chest. He walked slowly, dragging his foot a little, towards them.
“Taylor? TAYLOR!” Phyllis screamed. She ran as fast as she could to him.
“OH GOD!” She yelled as she jumped into his arms crying.
“OH GOD! I thought you were dead!” She said, smiling through her tears. He smiled back at her and looked towards his brothers. He looked back at her and looked in her eyes.

Wolf ran over to Amanda. He put his hand on her shoulder and she turned around, wiping the tears away from her eyes. He was holding his arm when she looked at him.
“What happened?” She asked, concerned.
“Oh, nothing my grandmother can’t patch up. They’re gone. We got them.” He smiled.
“Wolf…I want to thank…” Amanda began. She was cut off when Wolf leaned in and kissed her passionately.

Taylor stared at Phyllis for awhile.
“I’m so glad you’re alive.” Phyllis smiled and hugged him again.
“Phyllis…” Taylor said, looking lovingly at her.
“Yeah…” She asked. He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. He held her closely with his arms and kissed her passionately, closing his eyes, taking it in.
